Deep conversations with Noah

Noah: I know the difference between cowboys and cowgirls.

me: (hesitantly) What is that honey?

Noah: Cowboys have horses and cowgirls have purses and horses.

me: I see.
Noah: Mommy, I wish that you were a cowgirl when you became an adult. But I know that you are a Mommy and that is the most importantest.

me: Oh - thank you honey! Can you tell me why being a Mommy is the most important?

Noah: To love, that is the most - and to take care of me. Everyone should have a Mommy.

both: (squishy hugs!)

Cowboy up!!

Nathan's REALLY bad dream

Nathan came to me this morning and told me about a dream he had that was so so so bad that he did not want to tell anybody but me. I was concerned and asked Noah to leave the room for a bit. Here is what Nathan then described - with the concerned and serious nature he brings to all reports....

"It started out good, but then went very bad. I was riding my bike. Then another bike came and crashed me very hard! I flipped over and landed on a tree. The only good thing is that I landed on my bottom and I had a helmet on.
When I was in the tree, I saw a T-rex. He was coming at me, but there was a cereal bowl on the ground and he walked past me to go and eat the cereal. Then I said, I am glad there are no more T-Rexes  around, then a tree branch moved and hit me on the stomach, and I woke up and it was over."

love my boys!
