Please Pray

Poor Noah is really having a tough time with his acid reflux. The doctors gave us a new medicine to try on Friday. He started it Friday evening, and it seemed to help right away that night - he was happy before bedtime and slept better. Saturday during the day seemed to go great. He was happy when he was awake, and not spitting up as much. He was up for about 3 hours at a time. Then late Saturday night, it got worse again. He is back to hurting when he is eating and fussing during feedings and after them. He is 'spitting buckets' again too. It is so sad and I hate not being able to help him.

here is a picture we got of him while he was happy
he even quit spitting long enough to get some good "floor time" here is a picture of Nathan just being as cute as can be and a wonderful big brother!

no pictures

just a very funny story about our very affectionate little boy.

Nathan likes to give kisses and hugs. He blows kisses to everyone. His bears kiss and hug. He kisses his horses and has them kiss each other.

Another thing - waving is connected to saying "bye". He cannot do one without the other. Even saying "bye" to someone on the phone - he will wave.

Nathan's big incentive for going on the potty is saying "bye" to the 'pee' and 'poop' after he flushes the toilet.

Now it all comes together . . .
Today Nathan used the big boy potty to pee. He flushed and said "bye" and waved, then proceeded to blow kisses to his pee as it swirled down the pot.

lol - don't worry - we make him stand at a very safe distance for the flushing and well wishes. :)

p.s. Noah had his 1 month well baby check and is tipping the scales at 10# 5 oz and 22 1/2 inches. Everything looks ok - except the reflux is really giving him grief. we are still not ruling out that it may be pyloric stenosis (please pray that it is not). depeding on how he does today, we may have to go to the children's hospital for some testing tomorrow.
***UPDATE on 6/17 - Noah did better yesterday and this morning, so the Dr. is thinking it is just bad reflux. No need for further testing right now. Please continue to pray - anytime he is not sleeping or eating, he is fussing b/c it hurts him. (and sometimes when he is eating.)***
