I really like to take time to reflect on and really celebrate Independence Day. It just really is important to me to remember to not take for granted all of the liberties we have in this country, what it was founded on, and all those who have fought to keep it that way.

I really feel a great need for prayer for our country - we are so far from the values of our founders. So far from our Christian roots - now government has to step around anything that might sound like it is 'religious'. Do you know that they used to open every meeting of Congress in prayer! Would you just join me in praying for the spiritual well-being of our country? Pray that we can get our acts together and respect eachother as human beings all created by the same loving God who gave us each intrinsic value and worth.
