training our children!
i heard a radio broadcast today about training children. i was so blessed by it. our road w/ discipline and training is getting more and more intricate every day as nathan is growing. he is learning lots of wonderful new things, but at the same time, he is learning to disobey. he is learning to test us and challenge our authority. i know full well, this is only the beginning of a wonderful and rewarding, yet very difficult and trying time where it is our responsibility to train him in the way of the Lord. to train him to respect authority, be compassionate, caring, honest and giving. here is the link to the web site where you can listen to the broadcast http://www.walkintheword.com/broadcast.aspx it was the june 12th one. if you click on one of the links under "listen" it is free to listen too. it even gives you a place to type your notes! if you know me, you know i LOVE to take notes!!!

ps - if you would like the cliff notes version - let me know. however, i must warn you (if you don't know already) my notes are not likely much shorter than listening to the whole thing. :)
hi ann, :)
i'm glad you enjoyed listening to the radio- it sounds great. however you said "he's learning to disobey..." it's helpful,at least for me,to remember my boys didn't have to learn to disobey because that came naturally. it's called sin. and it our jobs as moms to instead teach them so they can learn to obey!
thanks julie, i did mis-speak. i should have said that he is learning new ways to express his sinful nature. the most important thing is truly to realize that God is in charge and that He has given us, as mothers, a job to do, and that ultimately He has a plan, and we are responsible to Him for how we train/raise our children.
thank you, as always, for your encouragement!
