Nathan got Dada a kite for his birthday. We thought it would be a nice thing for them to do together. We took the kite out for the first time and only had two problems with the whole deal.
1- there wasn't really enough wind
2 - Nathan was terrified of the kite!
Have you ever known someone to be afraid of a kite??? I never have. But he really did not want to go to close to Dada with that kite in his hand. We even tried to get him to touch it when it was on the ground, so he could see that it was ok, just a piece of fabric. You would have thought it was a snake! Poor little guy. I did manage to snap a few pictures. 
Here are Noah's latest "Friday pictures". (If you don't know what the means, refer to the post on June 3rd 08) You will notice he is holding his own toy here. :-) I am ONE proud Mama!!
Nathan really likes to copy anything that Richard and I do. He will stand like us, lean like us, repeat words after us, even take a drink from his cup if he sees one of us take a drink. It is VERY sweet - and a good reminder to be mindful of EVERY one of our actions / words! He also likes shoes. He always has liked shoes. You put the two togther (copying Dada, and love of shoes) and this is what you get:
Nathan also really likes to play "make believe" now. I love watching what his little mind comes up with. He will sit on anything and call it a boat and talk about the water around him. He will show us where "Mama and Dada and Noah" each sit and where "Big boy" (Nathan) sits. The boat game is one of his favorites. We will drive his 'boat' around scooting and screaching out "whoa!! Whoa Dada! Whoa Big Boy!"
He also likes to make his toys 'do' stuff. Here he is with his new cow (thank you Dad!) driving his tractor:
We dog sat for Aunt Carol's dog, Sophie the other day. I just thought this was too cute NOT to get a picture of. :) What a little helper!!

I am soooo happy for the new posting! I can't believe how big Noah is getting. It's absolutely amazing how much he's growing! One thing I miss the most about working at the day care is watching the imagination come Alive in children. It is awesome to watch! I'm so glad everyone is doing good. Miss you to pieces!

Your boys are precious.... The fear of the kite will most likely turn to passion for it a year from now. We went through something similar with Glendon and the vaccum cleaner. Now he's obsessed with it! =)
